A funny thing, Dr. Who. What originally started as a way to tell short science fiction arcs, that could be set anywhere and anytime lucked them out to create, almost by accident, some of the finest storytelling on TV.
But then again, maybe not so fully formed- after all, it wasn’t until the fourth doctor that they hit gold…
