“When I was in art school we had a ‘clean-up’ day at the studio spaces. Everyone who had a studio had to go in and help tidy up. The professor in charge got everybody together and said, “OK, everybody, we need to get everything out of the walkways. If something’s sort of half-in and half-out of a space, don’t throw it away - it could be somebody’s project. Remember, if you can’t tell whether something is trash or art, then it’s art.
